Great Lighting Design Happens When Lighting and Architecture Become Indistinguishable

Too often we find that architectural spaces and the lighting within them is taken separately. While the profession of lighting designer is indeed a separate discipline from being an architect, ultimately the work of the LD and the architect should almost fuse and create one complete form. Great lighting manufacturers embrace this concept, and no one does it better than ALW.

ALW will be presenting a brand new product at our showcase called the CP (Corner Profile). The product was featured heavily in a new Ralphs Fresh Fare Concept Store.

Fresh Fare Supermarket (Sherman Oaks, California). Working with Perkowitz+Ruth Architects, StudioK1
Lighting Design (Irvine, CA) created incredible Light Sculptures and dramatic focal points for the
updated urban concept store, using over 100 efficient LED Illuminated Light Boxes from ALW
(Architectural Lighting Works, Hayward, CA).

The CP (Corner Profile) System by ALW, allows the designer to create luminous boxes of almost limitless variety (acrylic options, width, depth and height), while simultaneously incorporating many lamping and mounting options to best suit the architectural, efficiency and visual intent. The main entry atrium, and other areas in the store feature these CP fixtures as stunning light sculptures. It is a unique, efficient and completely customizable way of creating rectilinear light sculptures.
