Meet the Air Series From Bruck

Post by on August 07, 2017 in New Products, Our Brands

When LED first emerged as a viable light source the drive was to try and manipulate the course to conform to existing form factors. This worked well in some instances, (think recessed downlights) and not so well in others, (think the original wave of A-lamp replacements). The best LED products are the ones that utilize the power of the source in new and refreshing form factors that enhance designs and give lighting designers and architects new and powerful ways to create light in spaces.

Enter The AIR Series from Bruck

When these products debuted at Lightfair, visitors simply assumed they were OLED. Despite the impossible thinness of the these plates, they are indeed traditional LED. They are also possibly the world’s smallest indirect lighting fixture. At only 5mm thick, the AIR series bounces light into a ceramic substrate that then pushes that light out into the space. The result is a powerful punch of light from an incredibly thin fixture.

Two Form Factors

Right now, the AIR series comes in two distinct form factors. The AIRsquare and the AIRbar. Both are just 5mm thick, but one as you might imagine is a square, while the other is a bar.

AIRsquare is a 4” x 4” square which can be mounted using both a the trimless or flush mount kits, or magnetically to metallic surfaces. It’s available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K and in 80CRI or 90CRI. At just about 13 watts this fixture delivers 1300 lumens, making it more than capable of lighting conference rooms, office spaces and any other space where relatively high light levels are desired.

AIRbar is a linear strip in ½” and 1” wide and in lengths including 6”, 12”, 18” and 24” long. These strips can be magnetically mounted (perfect for T-bar ceilings) recessed and surface mounted with different available kits. It is also available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K and in 80CRI or 90CRI, the two widths will deliver either 495 lumens per foot (1/2”) or 770 lumens per foot (1”).

Both AIRseries fixtures use remote drivers and can power multiple fixtures from a single remote driver, making this series idea for low plenum spaces.

Sample cases for the AIRseries are rapidly being built and will available for your review. In the meantime, if you want to take a look at our house samples, get in touch, we’ll be happy to come over and demonstrate these very cool fixtures.
